View Full Version : Time as a Device in Kafka's Metamorphosis and Camus's Stranger
I am thinking about writing an essay on this topic. An essay exploring how Kafka and Camus both use "time" either by mentioning it or using it as a plot/action device to reveal/attain meaning.
Is there anything to this? Or am i barking up the wrong tree, so to say?

great that you noticed the similarity in the two titles. im no literary expert or a lit student myself but here's what i think. i feel that it is worth dwelling into and it could work but at the same time it feels like it wouldnt. what im trying to say here is that when you mentioned using time as a plot or action device to reveal and attain meaning, it could very well apply to any other literary piece technically. what you would look for is the similar intricate ways in which the time meaning consortium is being explored that would bind both metamorphosis and the stranger. im not even sure if im being clear but i hope that helped even the slightest bit.
