Theres so many
She’s lost count
She lets them touch her, kiss her in hopes of feeling
Something
Anything
But she feels nothing
"Please, please", she want to feel alive again
She wants to breathe and feel the cold air inhaled inside her lungs
She wants to feel warm tears drip down her cheeks
She wants to laugh, deep in her belly
But she doesn’t
Maybe she never will

His hands go up her shirt, stroking, fiddling
His eyes are closed
His breath coming out heavy
She watches him, quietly, wanting to feel what he does
She strokes his eyelids and wonders how her own are sewn wide open
For everyone to see, baring her soul
But no one sees, or maybe they do; Ignorance is bliss
His body shudders beneath her and he lets out a sigh of relief
She gets off, filled with disgust at what shes doing. She wipes her hands and stares out ahead;
Wishing there were at least some tears to blink back.

Powerful piece, more to this than meets the eye on first reading.
