running out of puff
yet the finish line
is so close
Because it's the end
nobody is cheering
or throwing streamers
as I stumble and fall
I can't let everyone pass me by
It's time that I crawl
time to show the crowd
I've still got something left
So I roll downhill
and make myself fit
into life's muddy ditch
