Since unfortunately i forgot to include him in the short story writers' poll, here is one purely about his work :)
The short stories/options are:
-The library of Babylon
-Funes
-Aleph
-The man in the doorstep
-The house of Asterios (i voted for it...)
-The book made of sand
-Other (please name)
Poll will be up in an infinite amount of infinitely small partitions of time :)

Well, I've had to go for other - but in fact I can't decide between Pierre Menard, Author of the Quixote or Tlön, Uqbar, Orbis Tertius. Actually, I'm a bit surprised neither of them is on your list - they've both been considered by some to be his greatest masterpiece.

I am now re-reading Uqbar, and it seems indeed to be very interesting. I do not remember the Pierre Menard one almost at all, but i only read fast the pieces the first time i read them, whereas the stories i now chose were re-read a few days ago :)

Impossible to choose.
Funes, Pierre Menard, The End, The Aleph and The South would be my top 5.

Funes all the way. That story has had a profound effect on my reading/writing/obsession with the concept of memory in literature.
