Hey Bookworms. Has anyone read 'The Necrophilliac' by the French author Gabrielle Wittkop? The title says it all but it is not in any way 'sensationalist'. It is a work of macabre genius. It was written in 1970 but has only recently been translated into English. Its anti-hero, Lucien, carries out his morbid crimes with what can only be described as poetry. It is less than 100 pages but at the end of it I guarantee the reader will be as exhausted as if he had just read the complete works of Tolstoy. Please, please, read this book, it is filled with the air of confidence and the humour is as dry as a week-old corpse.
