George Orwell clearly shows his point of view throughout his book. Though all of Orwell's words were not proven, his theories can be well discussed today. 1984 illustrates Orwell's thought that the world would have no freedom, meaning that once everyone had freedom, no one would. This is just another example of unity; another way for people to be easily controlled. I don't think this aspect is true today since we enjoy many luxuries and are not under constant surveilance, however since we all have so much freedom, the government may have a more difficult time making desired actions happen. By this, Orwell is trying to say that unity is the key to control, but who posseses the control is the variable. If we all have so much freedom, are we still united; are we easily controlled? If the answers to those questions are yes, do we know we are being controlled?
