Is Big Brother real? Because at this point in the novel I believe he is fake. He seems to be an image meant to inject fear into the citizens. The face of him inspires the hate in the proles, and the fear in the outer party. Big Brother seems all powerful but all the power lays with what the proles believe (At this time BB)
