Meatwad
My friend, this
juicy sphere of grade D mush,
borne straight outta Hell's deep fryer,
gets me goin' with his jam box and slide whistle.
That lovable falsetto and those hush puppy eyes
make me dance to beats I never cared for.
But when he spills his sippy cup,
I scoop him up by the gristle
and send his bags packing
to Milkshake and
Frenchfry.

I know. Sorry it's not about death/sex this time (I think).

Although I'm not a fan of concrete poetry this was a jolly entertaining read. I can't say I'm particularly elucidated though; the meaning escapes me unless it's an ode to Ronald MacDonald :D

Thanks Hawkman. I'm not such a fan of concrete poetry myself, but sometimes it just happens to be what exits me. As for the elucidation factor, I suppose it either pertains to the fast-food experience in general or a team of anthropomorphic superhero food items. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_jzyKlznF_w

I LOVE

"those hush puppy eyes"

and wonder about the overall meaning, though your explanation helps!

Well crafted, thanks for sharing this!

Very clear to me. Excellent satire.

Mmmm. I don't know what to say other than I knew it was fast food related and do we pick kids up by their gristle? Probably. Anyway. I enjoyed it if for no other reason than I thought about Meatloaf eating a burger and singing a song about it....

Thanks Bar, I should have included the video link from the get-go.

Thank you for saying so, cafolini.

That sounds like a commercial from the 80's!
