Throughout the book I've noticed that Winston isn't very catious about the things he thinks about. They say that the thought police know when one is commiting a thought crime. Does that mean Winston doesn't belive in the thought police as much as the others?

I believe that the thought police can't actually read minds, but they can tell by the expressions on peoples faces. This is why Winston isn't careful with what he thinks about, because he always keeps a neutral expression on his face.
He only worries when he realizes he might've put on a non-neutral expression.
But those are only my thoughts.

:banana:I belive that he is not shure whether or not he does, But he says in the novel that he knows that he wll caught and its just a matter of time. SO i think that he is not being super cautious beacuse of that he allso does not put to muhh value in his life.:banana::banana::banana::banana:
