my thoughts on the ministries

i find that the ministries are extremely ironic in the fact that they do the opposite of their name, for example the ministry of truth writes up lies about history among other things. i find that Winston working at the ministry of truth is quite intelligent of Orwell because Winston works for the people he doesn't like. so why is that?

If Winston was not working for the Ministry of Truth then he would not know what the government is doing. If he worked somewhere else he would have no clue that any of this mischief was going on.
I believe their names are opposite of what they do because it feeds more propaganda to the people.
