I have started to really get into actor's autobiographies and memoirs - and am shifting into biography. I recently read "In Spite of Myself" by Christopher Plummer and it is so entertaining. I suppose it is because I have a passion for acting, but I find the way that actors describe their journeys to be fascinating.

Anyway, I know this is a bit of a specific niche, but I'm wondering if there is anyone else out there - any literature/acting fanatics. What have you read?

the autobiography of David Niven. Published by the Folio Society, I haven't read it yet, but knowing the wit of Niiven, I look forward to reading it.

For a more risque autobiography, but which is very entertaining, try MY Wicked, Wicked Ways by Errol Flynn.

Withnails By Richard E Grant. Its shameless in its complete lack of tact and you get to plumb the depths of various star's quirks and pretensions. Gary Oldman flipping out on the set of Dracula is a highlight as is Sharon Stone revealing the true depths of her insanity.
