I need help on an essay:(

I am currently working on an essay about a theme in the short story "Where are you going, Where have you been?" by Joyce Carol Oates .I am new to this site also so I'm not sure if this is the right place to post.. I need some ideas on what to write about if anyone has read this story and has some ideas I would be so greatfull!! I have a few themes in mind but I"m not sure how to start.. Currently I am looking at the themes coming of age, sexuality, and fantasy.

I haven't read the story but I would structure the themes in the order that you have put them in. Coming of age will naturally lead into sexuality.
