The myth of the myth
is the doll from my childhood
which shapes my expression.
Stepping back in time,
tracking old roots which were forged
on the backs of railway workers
I must ask,
Does this psychodynamic formulation
make my butt look fat?
Well surround me with a slimming systems approach
so I can point fingers and blame.
Blame him, them and especially her!
It isn't my fault that I lurk incognitive dress.
I heard you say I had a great set of hypotheses
so when my inner woe cracks and cries out,
But we're all independent parts built in
to the pathology of a broader social context!
Like a sherpa leading the way up a mountain,
I shrug my shoulders,
bear the weight that I'm destined to carry
and pant at a manic altitude forming its own cloud,
The self
The fulfilling
The prophesy

I wish I could understand this more, Delta. I find an americanism in certain lines, but I was completely lost in so many others.
But I always find a modernism in your poems that attracts me... Sometimes I just wish I knew the people in here (litnet) better. That would've been rewarding, oh yes. :)

I suspect there is something very unfunny behind this but the surface, at times, is so very funny! It must be very interesting to be you.

Thanks. I would not say it is interesting to be me and this is about psychological perspectives on mental illness written on the pretext that mental illness is a cultural construct.

I'm looking forward to the sequels: "The Storying Story," "The Parabling Parable," "The Yarning Yarn," "The Legending Legend," "The Taling Tale," and "The Fabling Fable."

Seriously, though, I liked it.

I found myself perplexed at times but cognitively understanding and accepting what was being said.
Good one Delta!
