When He Speaks

When he speaks
worlds may shatter
as his words vibrate through
my bones like an ancient hymn.

The Stag King,
God-in-man
with power eternal
he could sing into my dreams
leaving me wandering
entranced.

Through the mist
I trespass to answer
the arcane call which
whispers through my
blood in ever pulsing
of my heart.

He has woven me
within his spells,
even within the silence
his fingers speak
in the music of the ages.

Bardic born
he will summon
the spirits home and
upon his lips he carries
the weight of the divine.

I, Goddess chosen
as the vessel
will walk to him,
already his incantation
is branded into my soul.

Beyond death,
unbound by time
we will remain inseparable
for wherever I go
his voice follows me home
creating worlds
inside me.

One of your better ones - the trademark imagery that sets your world as a place different to the one most of us mere mortals inhabit.

Worth more than a cursory read - great stuff.

Flawless poem. No confusion at all. The unique imagery grows as the poem unfolds until the reader is captured and held in a poetic embrace. Then the poem ends, leaving the reader entranced. I think this is the most perfect poem you have ever composed.
