Delusion

Hey everyone, I've been writing for fun for a couple of years and I'm looking forward to improving and posting some stuff in the future on here. I'm 15 and I've got quite a lot of spare time, so if you see me posting on here go ahead and give me lots of tips and other things to help me out. I'll probably be lurking around in the short stories section.
This is a little taster of my kind of writing, this can also be found in the Short Story Sharing section.
He had wanted to go to California for years, the urge had suddenly taken over and after falling in love with the picturesque beaches and foaming seas he had moved there. Regretting nothing and leaving all family behind he had never expected this; a medley of fear and drowsiness that he could not control. Money was the goal, violence was the medium. No remorse was shown in the quick and brutal attack and it had hit him hard. Totally unaware of what was going on, he had hit the floor and blacked out, his empty wallet thrown next to him and blood seeping from his head. This was the first time he had experienced the full on brutality of the poor, his upraising cushioned by a constant supply of money, unaware of the evil that takes place on this planet. The waves rolled on.
