So here's the thing.

It seems that everyday is national or international something or other day (eg today is world mental health day, apparently), but it is also 'double tenth day' if you happen to be in Taiwan!

So, please post your random events here that should be remembered each day!

So happy Moi day (if you happen to be in Kenya!).

And don't forget to celebrate Party foundation day if you are in North Korea!

Well, to keep this going, I would just like to say Happy Antifacist Uprising day to the people of Macedonia!

It is also, apparently, National coming out day in the USA!

Really? Only a couple of people know, but I live with a woman and I love her. I've known her since first grade and sometimes it seems we're so much the same that I'd like something different for a change. But only in my mind.

Today I will mostly be celebrating Independence day along with the people of Equatorial Guinea. Although I guess celebrating Columbus' arrival in the new world might also be appropriate!

It's a bit late in the day, but Been busy celebrating the Formation of.the Tajik republic today.......

Apologies to those in North America for not mentioning National feral cat day yesterday, or indeed Ether day(???), but I was caught up celebrating Hurricane thanksgiving day with the people of the US Virgin Islands.....!

Anyway, It is apparently Black poetry day today in the good ol' US of A, but I will personally be joining the Haitians - happy Dessalines day!

Today is the International Day for the Eradication of Poverty. Obviously this is something we should have a jolly good shot at. On the downside, it seems unlikely that we'll eradicate poverty by tomorrow. On the upside, if we don't manage it, it'll be whole year before we have to think about it again.

Today is the International Day for the Eradication of Poverty. Bummer. You posted this too late in the day and I could not do my part in eradication of poverty yesterday... Now I will have to wait till next year.

Maybe we should post reminders for the following day so that we have fair warning in advance to get ready.
