I Miss My Best Friend

It was just like yesterday us sitting in class
You kept looking into my eyes
You always had me laughing
You never made me blue.

I miss your touch
I miss your voice too.
I miss all of your laughter and
I miss being called your boo.

You were my best friend
Better yet my other half
What am I to do?
I miss you my friend.

I love you more than life itself,
You told me you loved me before you left
I thought I’d see you later on until
I got a phone call later on that said you were gone!

I never thought I’d see the day that I wouldn’t see your face
Now I feel like I’m taking up space.
I love you and I miss you Cameron,
God knows I do.

I miss my boo, my best friend
Now I have one question
What in the world am I to do?
Now I feel like world is coming to an end.

Obviously a very personal piece so it's difficult to comment sympathetically as someone who never knew your friend. But I can recall going through a similar situation when I was still at school and writing poetry is a good way of setting down your feelings in a way that does justice to your friendship. A touching effort.
