Would not the attempt of expressing, in words, what is beyond words, dishonor that which is beyond words?

That'd be one step beyond madness.

Luckily a way around this has been somewhat formed. It is to make literature that attempts to reach the hights of music/art. The symbolists thought that the greatest poetry aspired to music - and the imagist thought that the greatest poetry aspired to art.

Much of art is an attempt to express something often beyond expressing, but even so it's slightly ironic to see something titled and described only as "beyond words" – that's more what I meant.
