Happy Birthday, Max :)

An interview with Maximilianus:

Why are we doing this interview thing?
The ways of the future ruler must be known :brow:

Are you sure you want to do this?
Needn't be. You do what you gotta do and that's the whole matter.

So, how old are you?
One more year away from eternity, one closer to being forgotten for good. 37 in normal speech.

If you had a personal theme song what would it be?
Can't pick just one. Many are linked to my story.

Are you male or female?
Neither. I wasn't born a female, nor am I a male dollface portraying poor imitations of manhood. I was born a man and will die a man. Period.

Do you like red cars?
I prefer red in the hair of women, but I'm at peace with red cars.

If you owned the site, what would you change?
I'll take the world and reshape the whole of it.

What was the inspiration for your LitNet username?
My forename in Latin. I like Latin.

Which countries have you visited?
The whole world belongs to me. I am yet to claim it though!

Which languages do you speak?
Spanish and English.

How do you like your home town?
Home sweet home where even strange events look familiar... sorta.

If you could live somewhere different, where would it be and why?
Not sure. If one can often be a stranger in his own land, what would one be in the land of others? Or from another perspective, many times a man is treated as an intruder in the distance, so how would he be treated at a closer range? Many people dislike foreigners. Seems safer to stay where one can still tell dark from darker. However, I like to believe there might be places where I might be well received. Who knows.

Do you have any pets?
They departed.

What makes you happy?
Nothing. I get by through portions of occasional satisfaction.

Do you feel comfortable in your walk with God/atheism?
I walk alone, unless I count a daily backpack cramped with books for company, or an occasional stray dog walking my way for some doggy reason :p

Which actor should play you in a movie based on your life?
Myself. I'm an overly intricate character for anyone else to portray.

Who is your favourite Beatle?
Scher, are you seriously asking a longtime headbanger about the Beatles? How cheeky of you! Now, if I am to pick four guys with instruments, they would be the following among others:

http://i1005.photobucket.com/albums/af178/maxicastro/Famous%20People/guitar20masters20by204.jpg

How do you like your coffee?
Black as the face of things to come, bitter as the past itself, wrathfully hot as boiling memories, steamy as the fog ahead, with a reasonable amount of sugar.

Given the option, what animal would you choose to be?
Needn't choose. I'm already an angry dragon.

When you were younger, what did you want to be when you grew up?
I was always watching TV series like Miami Vice, Crime Story, or Walker Texas Ranger. I wanted to be a daunting police officer putting down bastards by the thousands.

What's the biggest fish you've ever caught?
Had to suck my thumb after accidentally burning it when I was cooking the salmon of wisdom. That's how my story began. Every time I suck my thumb now, I get in trouble.

What makes you feel great about yourself?
I'm seemingly tougher than I usually believe, which took me long to realize. Better late than never, I guess. I see what feebleness does to people. I'm working on not running the same luck.

How did you meet your significant other?
Meaning there's something like it beyond the realm of imagination? I should see that!http://smilies-gifs.com/pensando/6pensando.gif

Who inspires you most?
Sailors in a storm.

What are you naturally good at? (Skills, abilities, gifts etc.)
I'm the grammar man, for I carry the living fire of morphemes in one hand and the sword of syntax in the other!

What is the one thing you must do before you die?
A walk in the clouds in certain company, after strumming a Jackson King V and a BC Rich Warlock at least once. After that, I would find me a good death and just die of it! http://smiles.kolobok.us/standart/yes2.gif

Is there a selfless act?
Mine.

If you had to teach something, what would you teach?
I'd teach women how to tell a bastard from a real man so that they wouldn't suffer disillusions. In turn, I'd teach men how to tell a whore from a real woman. Supposing it were possible

What would you regret not fully doing, being or having in your life?
Several regrets already, one particularly worse than the others. I took a wrong turn and realized very late.

Do you have a tasty recipe for life that you could share for a reasonable price? … Is it REALLY tasty?
No tasty anything. I only know about getting by.

What one thing would you NEED to have on a deserted island if you didn't have to worry over food and water?
A girlfriend willing to get married. I'm to be given the whole or nothing at all.

What’s the stupidest forum argument you’ve ever had?
When some eejits pretended to know my ways better than I know my ways myself. That was long ago now, but there are a few halfwits here resembling those :frown2: Not a complaint anyway. They somehow amuse me http://smiles.kolobok.us/standart/don-t_mention.gif

What song is in your head at the moment?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ivFYVAntpw0&NR=1

"Love letters in the sand, I remember you."
Among my first stabs at Heavy Metal when I was a highschooler. Auld lang syne, in a way or two.

Which book are you reading at the moment?
An Illustrated History of Britain and An Illustrated History of the USA (for school).

What is your favourite quote?
"Come back with your shield, or on it."

Which comedians or cabaret artists do you like?
I have little use for comedy. My genres are opposite to it, except for really rare exceptions like a funny birthday song that Mary sent me on FB. If you want me to laugh then come tickle, but beware of the fingers that will also tickle you ;)

Favorite avatar on the Forum?
The ones I've made, the ones she's made, including mine and hers, and all the others too. Avatars show a piece of the bearer's nature. There's something to be found in all of them.

Favorite threads?
A few game threads and those that require pictures to be posted. I've been turning into a graphical person lately. Also qimi's blog, because I like reading her poems. I read Virgil's and other blogs when I can.

What's your favorite sandwich?
Sandwichosity!

What is your answer to the ultimate question of life, the universe, and everything?
There's no moving forward but the steps we take, and after them there's no turning back.

Who were some of the nicest people you met on LitNet?
Everyone I talk to on a regular basis because of their niceness. I waste no speech on unpleasant persons. And I'm pretty sure there are many nice people yet to be met.

Favorite poem?
Hers, theirs, mine, and those.

First novel you remember reading on your own?
Uncle Tom's Cabin. I adore it as tragic as it is.

What era do you find most of the books you read are from?
19th Century.

Favorite TV shows?
I'm trying to go through Spartacus, Blood and Sand and 24 (season 7). School makes it very hard.

Which Forum members would you like to meet in person?
Only those who may want to meet me.

What do you do (for a living) to be able to keep your LitNet addiction going? And are you happy with your chosen profession?
I'm a hitman. I like it.

Would you rather be an educated fool or an ignorant fool?
I'm already a relatively educated fool. I don't think I have another choice.

What is your most outstanding feature?
I can't quite think of one out of the many I have http://smiles.kolobok.us/artists/just_cuz/JC_thinking.gif Let's just say the whole of me!

If you could change one thing about the way you look, what would that be?
Now I carry a long mane because I'm like a crazy horse. Other than that, I always disliked my stupid face and try to look at it as infrequently as possible. The rest I'm okay with.

Which book do you wish you had written?
The Lord of the Rings trilogy and The Time Machine.

What should you be doing at the moment instead of answering these questions?
Studying morphology and phonetics. I'll deal with them after this.

Last movie you watched?
Thor.

Do you want to buy a banana?
I do. I like bananas.

Favorite painting?
Those that feature naked women. I have no use for naked boys.

Bowie, yay or nay?
Come on, first the Beatles and now this Bowie! :frown2: Okay, I forgive!

Wonderful Superman or depressing Batman?
Doragon No Shiryu

http://i1005.photobucket.com/albums/af178/maxicastro/Anime%20Artwork/Shiryu150x150.gif

Something you want to forget but you never can?
Forgetting is a mistake. Memory is the finest ally.

If you could relive one moment in your life whenever you wanted to, what would it be?
There's a scene on a webcam I remember very vividly. A couple of friends I've never seen again saying hello. I always wonder whatever became of them :frown2: I hope they are doing well.

What is the best thing that happened to you since your last birthday?
I stopped walking in circles, stared at destiny in the eye, and waged a war on it. I haven't accomplished much through it yet. Just won the first battles, but the war has just begun.

If you could send one thing to the Room 101, what would that be?
Dimwits who claim they know it all. They just get in the way, if you know what I mean.

Are you mostly happy with life or are you still in pursuit?
Happiness is for people who were dropped here just to fill a spot. The most outstanding creative force is the combination of grief and wrath.

Tell us something scandalous about yourself.
Sometimes I've made my personal matters public, which got some schmucks starting their circus. Disgusting, but on the other hand it can be very entertaining to hear them yelling about whatever they think they know :)
Piece of advice: differences with a friend to be settled in private. The walls have eyes http://smiles.kolobok.us/standart/swoon2.gif

How long did it take you to answer all of these questions?
Been getting faster at having clear ideas.

When will you pay Whifflingpin?
Once I become the king of the world I will mercifully spare his life. Better payment impossible!

One final word of wisdom for LitNet users?
Not every lovey-dovey is a friend and not every hostile is an enemy. Sometimes a hostile is your best friend. Check beyond your nose and you'll tell one from the other. And don't swallow so much philosophical mumbo jumbo. You just have a regular brain and munching deep crap won't turn it into a crystal ball. Live in the real world for a change, which seems less appealing than an empty realm of empty definitions but at least it's real. The world is where you are, and not within books of purposeless fancy gibberish.

What question would you like to ask to the person to be interviewed after you?
Would you utter biased opinions about people you've never known just because you have a few hunches about them? What sort of a person do you think does that?

hoope
