The Best:
"Be ashamed to die until you have won some victory for humanity" - Horace Mann
-Makes us try and contribute to humanity before we meet our end.

"We're all in the gutter, but some of us are looking at the stars" - Oscar Wilde
We're all in the same sordid place, but some are hopefully gazing towards the heavens and it's majesty.

"Nothing is more dangerous than a dogmatic worldview - nothing more constraining, more blinding to innovation, more destructive of openness to novelty" - Stephen Jay Gould
Simply suggests that following dogmatic and thoughtless rules can suck away great possibilities and achievments.

"The meaning of life is that it ends" - Franz Kafka
Life ends...life which we have now.

"My Arse!" - Jim Royle

"Be yourself; everyone else is already taken" - Oscar Wilde

"If I have seen further, it is because I have stood on the shoulders of giants" - Isaac Newton

The worst:
"Great minds discuss ideas; average minds discuss events; small minds discuss people" - Eleanor Roosevelt
A thoughtless and no-evidence based quote which sucks all the possibilities and insights one can achieve when discussing people and events, which offer feelings and emotions, and being ridiculed for having an "average" or "small" mind. Everyone discusses these things. Ideas are important, but so are the others. When one speaks of people and events they have just their own minds. Their favorite topics of discussion can not reflect the size of their minds. A horrible quote.

"Razors pain you, rivers are damp, acids stain you, drugs cause cramp, guns aren't lawful, nooses give, gas smells awful, so you might as well live" - Dorothy Parker

"Today, this is our INDEPENDENCE DAY!" - From Independence day the movie
upon the verge of cataclysm from extra-terrestrial beings, as they progressively destroy the Earth's treasured buildings one by one.
