i am also a 9th grader and was not looking forward to reading this book. in fact if it had not been required i would`nt even of picked it up. it was extreamly long and i got board by the 7th chapter. But as i read on the book got more insteresting and does have a lot to say about life. so, if your like me i encourage you to not give up. its not such a bad book. heck if i can read it and some what enjoy it you can too!!!

that is GREAT advice when I first started to read The Brothers Karamazov by Dostoevsky I almost quit but I ended up reading it all and have since become a great Dostoevsky fan, the lesson is you really can't make a judgement on a book in the first few chapters
