Searching for a poem

Hi there, I have had the concept of a poem I read many years ago rattling around my head for months now and cannot find it anywhere as I can't remember specific lines so I was wondering if any of you lovely people could help. The poem is one I studied at alevel and is about a young child a girl I think who is retelling the story of the bombs falling. She says the warned the adult but they didn't take her seriously. I anyone could shed light in the situation I would be very grateful :)

Not exactly the reply to the thread or to the search for the poem in quest but Thomas Hardy's poem 'The Valencieens' describes a similar situation, though it was written decades earlier. Substituting the village name Valencieen which was under attack with the name Vietnaam will make the poem wonderfully current. The attack on that village was warned in advance as a great folly.
