Yes. That definitely bears reporting.

I'm also getting the database error message, but just when I click to see people's profiles.

Jeez.

DON'T ANYONE ELSE CLICK ON THAT THREAD.

I simply deleted all the browser "cookies" that I wasn't familiar with, and then the error that Mutatis is describing went away for me. Still, it's unnecessary trouble, and I certainly can't say for sure whether or not that deleting those cookies completely solves things, or if there was any damage besides causing a "database error" or whatever.

Ah, that's that, then. I guess maybe my cookie-deleting didn't play a role at all, just a matter of timing perhaps.

Jeez.

DON'T ANYONE ELSE CLICK ON THAT THREAD.

I'm surprised such spamming doesn't happen more often, honestly. People who actually think that's funny are also the type of people who like to target smart people.

Well, a lot of people aren't interested in seeing that stuff, at least not unexpectedly. And this is an all ages site, etc. But it was the subsequent effect on the use of the site that made me view it as sort of an urgent thing. What happened (to our account? to our computer? to the whole site?) after we clicked on the thread?

The porn thread and the database error were two completely utterly unrelated things.

I was doing some server work this morning and didn't reset permissions properly on a temporary directory which caused the database to spaz out a little bit.

The porn thread was just some spammer. It is only related in that the database error prevented it from being reported promptly.
