There's a new Faulkner vs. Hemingway thread, but we are all being decidedly more civil this time. :shocked:
Perhaps the digression into music theory merited a deletion?

I've never seen a whole thread deleted. Locked, of course, but deleted? No. Even most of musicology's famed posts still exist. That thread, with all its divergences and insults, had a lot of interesting stuff, and honestly, I'm kind of pissed it's gone.

It did seem to be a forum equivalent of us all sitting around in a pub drinking pints and getting more bombastic with each round, with slivers of perspicacious insight interwoven with hyperbole and reductio ad absurdum. All with Bill Watrous' Don't Tell Me What To Do (Take 6) off 'Bone Straight Ahead somewhere in the background. :biggrin5:

Where did it go??? I just looked for it as well - why would it have been deleted? I didn't think it was offensive.
