Okay, so I've read a lot in the short time that has been my life, and I need to find something new. I usually read fiction, fantasy and some such.
Any suggestions?

I suggest you read some novels by Anthony Trollope. His plots and characterizations are wonderful. He is enjoyable to read, unlike some of the dreadful books on the various "100 Greatest" lists.

I've just re -read Cold Comfort Farm by Stella Gibbon. Just as enjoyable and funny as I remembered.

"How many books have ever been published in all of modern history? According to Google’s advanced algorithms, the answer is nearly 130 million books, or 129,864,880, to be exact."
Having read them all I suggest ... Hold on, I've changed my mind. -- I suggest ... oh so many to choose from ... :rolleyes5:

Babel-17 and Dhlargen by Samuel R. Delany. Two reasons I have changed my mind about him for the better.
Denis Johnson, too.

I see Trollope everywhere and wouldn't mind giving him a shot, but he was pretty prolific and I've no idea where to start. Does he have an acknowledged masterpiece?

I will forever suggest The Count of Monte Cristo. Love that novel.
