Hi,

Im new here as of 10 seconds ago lol. I am looking for a piece of poetry by Percy Shelly. I have searched the internet and i can not find it. I do not know the words but i would know it if i saw/heard it again.
It is important that i find these words asap.

All i can say is that it was written to Mary Shelly after losing their son, i gather its about her grief.
I seem to recall a line saying something about her going somewhere that he can not follow, or i may just be totally wrong there lol.

If anyone can help me i would be so appreciative.
you know how it is when you hear a snippit of a poem and think if i dont find that poem it will get on my nerves for weeks.

Pleeeeeaaase help

My dearest Mary, wherefore hast thou gone,
And left me in this dreary world alone?
Thy form is here indeed—a lovely one—
But thou art fled, gone down a dreary road
That leads to Sorrow’s most obscure abode.
For thine own sake I cannot follow thee
Do thou return for mine.

How stern are the woes of the desolate mourner
As he bends in still grief o'er the hallowed bier,
As enanguished he turns from the laugh of the scorner,
And drops to perfection's remembrance a tear;
When floods of despair down his pale cheeks are streaming,
When no blissful hope on his bosom is beaming,
Or, if lulled for a while, soon he starts from his dreaming,
And finds torn the soft ties to affection so dear.
Ah, when shall day dawn on the night of the grave,
Or summer succeed to the winter of death?
Rest awhle, hapless victim! and Heaven will save
The spirit that hath faded away with the breath.
Eternity points, in its amaranth bower
Where no clouds of fate o'er the sweet prospect lour,
Unspeakable pleasure, of goodness the dower,
When woe fades away like the mist of the heath.
