Anyone who says this isnt a masterpiece is not well educatied in the liturature of other cultures in this world. Every culture has an epic hero that embarks a long journey requested by the Gods. The Odyssey, Iliad and The Bible reflect the cultures they were written by and their views on many aspects of life, including religion, customs, and daily life. If it weren't for these accounts, then we wouldn't know a lot about the liturature of this time.
