Tom Sawyer is an amzing book. I have two comments though to be made. First, one is about the realism of the book. I agree with a commnt above about the romantic time period. But also you must understand that Twain's inspiration was from a colloection of kids and their stories. The might have happened ovwe 10 or 18 years but Twain wrote the best in his book which coveed a much more limited amount of time.<br><br>Also the "n" word thing. Stop complaining! The book was written in a time period that the"n" word was socially acceptable. Besides, you can't change it, so STOP COMPLAINING!
