Where in the heck can you find a facebook group centered on literary discussion or at least favorite books, book quotes, etc?

I can't for the life of me find a FB group directory, and all of the book groups I see in the FB search function lack any real membership/activity.

I think the chance is very slim that you'll find something like that and then it's probably toe-curlingly horrible. Like, 'Who is your favorite character from Twilight?' 'That one because (s)he's so cute!' It's the same as finding worthwhile other lit forums or even book groups. Very difficult to find a meaningful one...

Just look around and I'll challenge you to find one where no-one of the regulars is absolutely clueless and going on either about Harry Potter or Twilight, or where the main discussions are not about what is your favorite book and then period.

Sorry if this was a bit cynical and vitriolic, but that's been my experience.

Maybe try a specific author. I think I saw a Jane Austin group once, but who know how active it is.

Either that or maybe form your own group.

They have some interesting groups such as:
Fine Press, George Macy, Easton Press, and Folio Society.

They talk literature and book collecting, but if you're not into collecting books and building a library, you may not be interested.
