I think this is a fanatastic book that can delight, amaze, and give joy to readers of all ages. This book does have the "n" word in it, but you have to understand what time period Mark Twain wrote his literature in. Though the "n" word is not acceptable in modern-day language, it was considered natural and well-used when the book was written. As for the book not being realistic, who cares?! This book is a delight and doesn't need to be realsistic to be a good novel. For heavens sake, look at Harry Potter! That book is in no way realistic and yet is one of the most popular books in the world, seconded only to the Bible. I think Tom Sawyer is a cute, old fashioned book that is great for entertainment purposes and if you are just looking for a good laugh. I recommend it highly.
