Hey, all. A friend was asking me what poems to start with for he student teaching section on poetry. There is this really clever poem about reading poetry, and how it can be difficult, but for the life of me I can't think of the name of the poem or poet. Anyone know which poem I'm talking about?

There's a slight chance it may be one of these:

Do you by any chance know which era it was written in? It would help to know, as it could be anything since Horace, as he was an early poet to write about poetry in a poem.

It's by Billy Collins, and I think that's the one on the website you linked, actually. I just looked over it. Thanks for the help!

I've always liked Marianne Moore's "Poetry" too. There's a reading by Kathy Bates up on youtube that's pretty good.
