The Shedding of our Bodies

Death comes naturally to all of us.
So why do we look so longingly at the photo's?
With thoughts of us in the grave
Thinking this is the end.

It doesn't have to be,
It continues on.
In a second
Your again alive!
In the spirit
Free of your troubles
With no worries.

Death comes naturally to all
So why do we look so unconvincingly at ourselves?
Thinking we got to do it
Before it's too late.

Don't we know
To be brand new
It's the shedding of our bodies
That allows us to fly?

It's the shedding of our bodies
Beyond where we flew
We are free to fly.

The Boy From Nowhere

They could never understand it
So they left the boy alone
In school way in the back
Beyond anyone's cares
Just the occasional stares
Looking back
Left back!

Born into a world
He never asked for
A mild mannered man
Very shy
But no one gave a damn
They gave him a pair
Told him use it!

Tried and tried
To please to please
But all he was surrounded with
Was sleaze and sleaze
The catholic school
Didn't protect him
They just beat him!

The woman
In and out his life
Didn't understand
When they got to know him
They left him off
Couldn't understand this man
What went wrong

Where was his God?
The helter-skelter was all around
Scary things
People dying
He found no God in the world
He was alone
Kept on crying
Trying and trying
He kept his head up

His father was a bastard
Taught him to steal
Abused and beat him
A heart of steal
This meek boy endured

Even to the day
His friends say okay
Forever by your side
But they never call
Just walk down the hall

He's anonymous
Always inside crying
He's motivated by nothing
But the inner burning
Of his failed heart

His wicked karma
Never helps him
Only people telling him
Cheer up
Can be worse

He's a man without a cause
Only he understands
What ticks inside
No one tries to
They walk away
With a smile saying
You'll be okay.

About the first - Have you tried your wings yet?
About the second - some destinies are just like you describe, "left behind" and it's useless to try to comply.

Both need some editing work, IMO. Dig the essence, lose the telling. They will become gems. Thank you for sharing.

Thanks Twoto

Ucello: I have to keep that in mind. Too much narrative. Thanks
