In a day when have plenty of real heros, one has to wonder why we would pick someone as obsure as as the old famous scientist that hunted Dracula in Bram Stokers novel. Maybe its for the science fiction of bringing Frankenstein the wolfman, and Dracula together once more... or a remake with a few extra goodies thrown in.
Of course we have to stop with that because this Van Helsing is Gabriel Van Helsing, a few thousand years older than Abraham Van Helsing, and much younger to boot. Of course the New Van Helsing will confuse many and those may be confused enough to beleive that Van Helsing is Gabriel the Left Hand of God, who killed Vlad originally....
Well to the point, This movie was made for me.... well not exactly me but any kid 11-15 is really going to love it... sure my mom says it was a little cheezy... but not as cheezy and stupid as The Day After Tommorrow was... is... er ok forget that one... This movie was NOT boring, it was filled with action, and of course was full of dark and shadow... the weird self-sucking gothics will love that part.... but others will too. Dracula himself was awesome, and even improved on the Bela Lugoisi characterization, he was marvelous.. Van Helsing on the other hand was more like Indiana Jones, than an Angel... or Archangel..... He sort of reminds me of a white Colonel Hadie In Ryan Orr's Jeremy Ruhl Series .... or better yet Jeremy Ruhl himself, always fighting the bad guys... The movie was a little long, thank goodness we saw it at the drive in and I had a relief bottle! Mom dont let me go to the restroom at the drive in cause of all the weirdos there... So I missed nothing.

It was pretty awesome (and don't take this wrong you gotta see the movie to understand) when 10,000 little babies exploded... Oh My God... babies? Well there are a lot of firsts in the movie, that I have never seen before, but since I was never a beleiver in vampires or Frankenstein monsters (don't get me wrong, lots of evil people create more evil people) I do believe in werewolves.... and not the silly fake ones on the Internet either, they have no idea what it is all about, I have talked to several and they are full of ....... Wonderful images and sounds await the viewer of this movie, cheezy yes, boring no... If you are under 11 you prob shoudn't see it without an adult... and you will prob fall asleep anyway cause Nemo ain't there... if you are 15 or over and think you are an adult don't waste your time, just take the kids and let them have fun... because that is what it is... no giant graphics of blood sucking monsters just total fun .

Tag
Reviewer
http://just4boys.net
See our Reviews on other movies made by teens
