I am all alone eating
in a central park,
she approaches me
with slow careful steps
and looks at my steaks
with bright innocent eyes,
I throw one of them to
fall near her small paws,
she quickly attacks the steak,
barely chews it and swallows.
Then looking at me again, her
hungry eyes ask for more to eat,
so I try to feed her myself
and I lower my hand with a steak,
she smells it, snatches it
and runs away to a safe distance,
I continue throwing her my steaks
and she keeps on eating them,
only she chews better before she
swallows them now.
she feels little secure and
allows me to fondle her head
as she eats the last steak,
now my plate is quite clean
by her very own tongue, may be
I am still hungry as she ate all,
tho I am glad to have a new friend,
but it's just folly and I am wrong,
for she gets rid of my patting hand
by curving her vertebral down,
looks at my shining empty plate
with different, stronger eyes now,
then turns around and walks away
looking for another fool.
