I read the first 2 parts of Gulliver's travels and i liked it. then I read the 3rd part and i have no idea what i read about. I just cant get into it! I still have to read 100 pages in 8 days and wright and essay on it! I think the important thing to realize about it is that it is a satire on Swift's culture. It helps to have a brief knowledge of the eighteenth century. The third part is very specifically satirizing the Royal Society of London which many thought, at the time, to be engaged in totally useless experiments.
