Here, have my steak
sacrifices are part of my life.
I don't care
what you put there
Just know that I'm writing
all of it down
There will come a day
when I've got things to say
and I'll need my journal
to remind me
Of the awful acts
and your lack of tact
so you will see
I got the raw end of the deal.

Strange one from Delta - this is to a certain daughter I presume? Or to an imaginary demon that's inhabited your cranium?
It has a pleading/angry quality that doesn't seem to be very Deltaesque at all, as though you're channeling the ghost of someone from the past...
Interesting poem, but I'll need to think over it a bit longer

Ha! This is a delightfully everyadventure-esque poem, if I do say so myself ;) Highly relatable, my dear.

Tongue in cheek, taste is bitter, a lovely poem, for sure!

I think you want to be alone
you only left the bloody bone.

Well Delta - I was going by what's been related by you in your recent poems - it's about an injustice evidently - and that injustice may have been one of your off-spring, or in the abstract a seizure, or perhaps an ex's selfishness, or perhaps a vacationing muse?
Don't forget I wrote a poem about a poet who was home-invaded by the critics at Midnight and one of said critics said it wasn't poetry, while another critic said it took them somewhere they didn't want to go. If you're going to conceal your purpose behind metaphor you have be prepared to explain it, or to learn to let people be wrong about it.
And also this is Litnet - there are blogs to peruse, and 'Serious Discussions' to keep being updated upon, and ancient reviews of the Twilight saga to pore over, pm's to absorb at 3 am, and reply to, silly comments to respond to, personal attacks to retaliate to - so many words just from one website - and there are still other websites to consider!
Will it never end!
So why don't you simply tell us what it's about instead of demanding we have to actually think into the bargain? :)

Don't program yourself to forget! (and perhaps you should not tell him you're writing it all down, he might look for and find it). But I'm sure you'll get your "the raw end of that deal"!

It's about self-sacrifice, martyrdom, and acidic, unspoken resentment that will one day spew forth like vomit. It's about keeping score, being cheated, and getting even. Right up my alley, sweetheart!
