This was a tremendously written book and I hope to do some kind of justice to the book with my paltry review:

I think this book can be said to represent the folly of hard-headed man (all of us) trying to triumph over unrelenting, mighty nature. A tale illustrating human nature.

The story is of the life of the most isolated set of folks, the country folk. Set apart from society yet their trials are much the same as those of us in metropolis.

Beyond that he explore family dynamics, relations of mother and father, father and son, mother and son, brother and brother, brother and sister etc, and all the intricacies therein.

He writes of life and death. He writes of politics.

Above all he writes of these things in a vivid, memorable and expert way.

The book is easily read, 2 days it can finished. The characters are recognizable and sympathetic. The story is cogent and well-crafted. It's the story of a simple journey and the unforeseen forces that pop up and how we react to those trials.

I loved this book, you will most certainly as well. 10+ book.
