Some days drag on too long, like shots sound around the lawn
when a killer fled behind the shed, and leapt into the sun
the old years were a bore, so I cant drag my head no more
but when I was gone, the world spun on, and left me to fight the war

inside my spines divides
the spiral staircase of the mind
leaves a moebius of infinites to describe

some say a noble man, could cut off his right hand
but I'm just limbs, blue blood within, that is, till it turns red
well what is ahead? and what is the goal? where has this promise led me to
but right down the serpents hole?

where the coal melts red-hot gold into my soul
till my heart pumps rust, and is pulverized to dust, then just goes cold

now all people that I meet, seem differently to me
their smiles pierce their chalky cheeks, while their eyes lie through their teeth
with the yellow stains of acid rains, corroding through their brains
and the words they've kept, for lonely nights they've slept
have stirred the dead again from their sleep

they've clearly nearly picked me clean
flesh drips through shirt rips, and rib meat
and a cannibal Christ's chewing cellulite in my technicolor dreams

so they gather in the streets, like leaves miraged by heat
and they're singing songs, of their secret thoughts
to glue nails onto their feet, to light another cross
to lynch the other mob, and stomp out all the sick and meek
and add up what's been won and lost, and divide it by the greed
and grief of an ever absent god, that wants you to wash his dirty feet, with tears from your first born son

well I guess that you forgot, that some just can't be bought
well I guess that's what I thought, but my guess must have been wrong

and I'm in two again, my bones screwed to my skin
an erector set of love and regret
will show from end to end, the world as I truly am.

I gave up after the first verse because it seemed that the dominant rhyme had taken over from what you were trying to express, removing every atom of sense from this piece until it was just meaningless.

Line 2 - really.
