Hey folks, this is my first thread and I'm just looking for some simple advice on which book to read next of a small list of titles. Personal opinions on the books, authors, themes, etc. will all be helpful!
Narcissus and Goldmund - Herman Hesse
Nausea - Jean-Paul Sartre
One Hundred Years of Solitude - Gabriel Garcia Marquez
The Jungle - Upton Sinclair, or
1984 - George Orwell
This is just a small list of some of the books on my shelf and I am simply having some difficulty in deciding which to dive into as they all seem to be good reads. Thanks in advance.

i read 1984 and found it one of the most interesting, complex, beautiful, well-written books of all times :)

I am not familiar with the first two but I have read the last three
I enjoyed them all and because they are all so vastly different from each other it is hard to say which one I enjoyed the most.
The Jungle I thought was superbly written and I could just about have read it all in one sitting, it had grabbed my attention from the start and I remained engrossed in the story to the end.
100 Years of Solitude I thought was a very humorous and bizarre story and very enjoyable to read. I myself am a big fan of surrealism, alternative realities, magic realism so I loved the total quirky randomness of the book.
1984 is a great book, dystopia is one of my favorite genres and this is one of the best books written in that genre which I have read. A very interesting and disturbing story.

I've read the last three books and 1984 is the best of them.

I've read 4 out of 5 of these and 1984 was the most interesting read - and easiest in terms of simple readability, but not easiest in terms of the story! It's quite harrowing. If you start with that, then maybe try Narcissus and Goldmund next, it's a nice story and not so harrowing - unlike Nausea! 100 Years of Solitude is a difficult read (dozens of characters, all with the same or similar name!) Save that for last or for when you have some dedicated time to spare for heavy concentration - or just give up half way through like me :)
