This is based on real life happenings...I have very little experience with blogs but thought it should be posted as such.....but am not sure. As always your feedback is appreciated.

Dog Park.

Have you ever journeyed onto a road where the aura captures you? The sensation overcomes you and you become a part of the road? It lives to be your favorite place as you know it will lead you some where special.

Is it the change in temperature, the dancing shadow of the trees, the smell, the winding of the narrow road, the woods surrounding you? I don’t have the answer but I have found such a road and it leads to the Dog Park.

Every dog knows this road and with its head out the car window, its nose accumulates every single scent and that feeling of freedom; uncontrollable happiness sends abundant joy radiating in every whine and spin around in the back seat!

We are off to the Dog Park.

A new episode in my life started here; today in the Dog Park was my first day on the job as a Dog Park Attendant.

This is a diary of what I am experiencing and what I am learning and my thoughts in between it all.

Your comments, suggestions and Dog Park experiences are welcomed.

It begins here. I went to an interview; recommend for the position by a friend who is the ‘other’ dog park attendant. The interview lasted all of 10 minutes and I was awarded the position. All my friends say it is the perfect job for me. They were right but little did they know HOW right!

RULE #1: The Dpk (Dog Park short language) is County owed and came with a set of rules. Too boring to go into but you will learn them as they are enforced. One thing that is enforced is your dog must have either a rabies tag, County dog tag (you can’t get that without a rabies certificate) or a County dog park tag (for that you must have both, rabies and County tag). That is the fact, Jack…no acceptations to the rule as it protects the dogs and humans alike.

RULE #2: Yeah, this is a real dog park. This is an off-leash dog park so the Owners must monitor their dogs. We have the 6’ high chain link fences, stinky trash cans, Mutt Mitts, wresting, packing, chasing, barking, slobbering and a ton of dog fun. But not every day is a good day. Not every dog is having his/her day every day so there are fights, bites, blood, screaming and hollering. My job is not to monitor the dogs as much as to monitor their Owners. I sometimes wonder who should be the one on a leash.

Just a touch of what is to come and I hope you will join me at The Dog Park (Dpk) and learn things you thought you already knew!

It does read more like a blog entry than a story - a series of diary entries (journal entries) and personal observations rather than a fictional story.

I would, however, query why you included paragraphs 4 ('We are off to the Dog Park'), 5, 6 and 7 since you have already made that clear from the start. I actually thought it was written from the dog's pov until that point!

I'm also wondering how you are going to sustain our curiosity over the next few entries - I did find the repetition of the phrase 'dog park' a little annoying after a while. But am looking forward to reading more about the dogs' owners, since I'm guessing that's where the human interest will be introduced...

I don't know anything about blogs, but my cat Eleanor and I are anxiously awaiting your adventures in the dog park.

DickZ & Eleanor "I don't know anything about blogs, but my cat Eleanor and I are anxiously awaiting your adventures in the dog park."

I won't let you down!

Mr. H ~ ahhh, my favorite one to hear from :blush5: "query why you included paragraphs 4 ('We are off to the Dog Park'), 5, 6 and 7 since you have already made that clear from the start." I beg to differ with you as the start was just about setting the atmosphere not about telling where reality is.....

And did you not respond "I actually thought it was written from the dog's pov until that point!"

Smiles....."I'm also wondering how you are going to sustain our curiosity over the next few entries " Let me show you! thank you for your comments....

I don't want to rock any boats so I am moving this to my blog....catch it there AND I have rewritten it some due to Hillwalker's notes...not much mind you, but some!

BTW, this thing with colored quotes and bold...not my doing, well I reckon it is my doing as I am still having some computer issues and just trying to make the best of it.
