Any thoughts on these? Are they an aberration? I'm confused...

Why?
I guess I'll go ahead and ask the question that is on everyone's mind; do they have a "bell bottom" version?

I believe it's called a boot leg - a compromise between a flare and a steampipe

I've never heard of pyjamajeans. If they're half as lame as the faux-torn-jean-snowpants that the Americans wore to the Vancouver Olympics, than I vote "aberration."

Apparently they are made from a soft material but manufactured to look like denim.
Ho hum.

Actually I've had a turnabout on them - I don't like getting dressed in the morning, but a pair of pj's that look like jeans could well be the solution. All I'd need is a dressing gown that looks like a leather jacket, a pair of slippers that look like riding boots, and a night cap like a ten gallon hat and I could get the morning paper with a yee haa!

Pyjamajeans...they'll be inventing blankets you can wear next...and one big slipper to keep the tootsies warm...and an umbrella hat that you can wear in the rain or sun...or virtually indestructible rubber shoes that you can garden in...or throw away paper overalls to save on washing powder, water and electricity...whatever next...

In case no one knows what pajama jeans are:

If people weren't so fat, then there wouldn't be a need for things like this. Also, stores need to be more consistent with their sizing. If you shop at one place and can fit into a size 12, but then go somewhere else and have to buy some larger size like 14 or 16, then something is wrong. And people get too hung up on size anyway.
