My favorite poet along with Bukowski. I can't wait to get my hands on an all encompassing anthology of his. Not to even go into detail about his relations, or lack thereof, with Maud Gonne, the woman he so loved. I haven't found another poet with whom I share the experience of such unrequited love.
This is one of my favorite shorter poems by him:
The Fish
ALTHOUGH you hide in the ebb and flow
Of the pale tide when the moon has set,
The people of coming days will know
About the casting out of my net,
And how you have leaped times out of mind
Over the little silver cords,
And think that you were hard and unkind,
And blame you with many bitter words.

I haven't read much of Yeats but I will be doing a module of poets from Blake - Yeats next year, so I am looking forward to reading more of his work.

One of the greatest. Read a pile of his poems back in the day for uni and because they were great.

I've been reading a lot of Yeats over the last couple months.
He didn't connect with me at first, but just lately he's really grown on me.
His sheer talent is obvious.
