If you found yourself on a desert Island, washed up on the beach, with an unconvicted serial rapist and paedophile, would you kill him for what he has done and spend your life alone or keep him alive for company?

I'd bury it in the sand and use its head to crack open my coconuts

If I killed him I would be an unconvicted murderer.
Strangely, talking to this man in depth would be psychologically interesting and revealing.

If I thought he was planning to do me harm, then I think I would kill him. There is a good chance though, that he would be trying to survive just as much as me and wouldn't want to kill me.

I suppose if I felt he might do me harm, the kind of harm I would never want, I might murder him in his sleep, the piece of crap that he is, but if he seemed timid enough, well, it would be tough being so alone, one would be likely to go nuts and consider suicide after a while. How did Tom Hanks last 4 years?

If only he would let me live, before I murder that sinister person.

Has he been tried and found guilty but somehow landed on the desert island before being given a sentence? If so, by what right do I appoint myself Judge to pass sentence and Executioner to carry it out?
If he has not been tried, how do I know he is a serial rapist/paedophile? By his confession? By previous knowledge? Where have I got this knowledge from - hearsay? the Tabloid Press? So - on the strength of his confession and/or this untested source of information, do I appoint myself Judge, Jury and Executioner?
I would suggest that, given the removal of both persons from Society, Society's rules are suspended as one person cannot pass Judgement alone on another person - that would surely have to wait until both are back in Society under its Jurisdiction.
