I was looking to get into the writings and philosophy of the Marquis de Sade, and any certain recommendations for introductory texts would be much wanted. Along with this, the best translators, if you know of them, for his works would also be great. Thank you.

Susan Sontag's essay "The Pornographic Imagination" is the only criticism I know off the top of my head. It covers Sade and Bataille.

Aldous Huxley thought that Sade had taken the philosophy of meaninglessness to its logical conclusion. Huxley did expound on Sade from time to time.

That Huxley information is interesting.
And thank you Orphan, it's so much that I want to get into the erotica of his writings, more so become an advocate of them,it's just curiosity seems to be a great guide.

Justine would be a good introduction.
View the film Matat/Sade by Peter Brooks. Brooks draws upon Artaud's "Theater of Cruelty" to produce a play within a play. The inner is a production by Sade on the death of Marat. I suggest a quick wikipedia session on Antonin Artaud, the French Revolution, Jean-Paul Marat, and Charlotte Courday.
Also, view the The True Story of Artaud The Momo by Brooks. Artaud's Anthology and Theater and Its Double are thought provoking reads, better read once you "understand" le momo.
