READING MUKTIBODH USED TO BE A GREAT LITERARY ACTIVITY BACK IN OUR UNIVERSITY IN 80s.

RETROSPECTIVELY, I FEEL HE LOADED US WITH LOT OF SADNESS AND WE WRER CONVINCED THAT YOU HAVE TO DIG VERY DEEP TO BE HAPPY.

AFTER READING HIM ONE IS CONDEMNED TO BE SERIOUS.

I REVER HIM AND I HATE HIM FOR THAT

I don't now about that writer, but I do recognize the dissatisfaction one might have when a writer (or musician, etc.) takes the easy road and uses dark themes, almost exclusively. I suppose some might have no choice, if faced with great tragedy--or at least I don't mean to criticize those. But still, a lot of people do seem to shrink from the more difficult task of including positivity or strength, affirmation, overcoming, *happiness* etc. in their work. Just play a sad or angry Minor chord on the piano, and you have the room's attention.
