Born a year ago
Katie brought you home to me
My heart melted,
And I loved you instantly

We did everything together,
Eating, sleeping, driving, shopping,
I did not ever want to leave you
But, I knew one day I would have to.

The seasons changed,
I watched you grow,
You terrorized the house,
But you're young, I know.

Summer came and I had to leave
If only you could understand
If I could have taken you I would have,
But love doesn't matter to university beaurocrats

So now I write this poem,
Tears in my eyes,
I miss you so much, dear Iggi Pup
I hope to see you soon
