-A Thousand Hearts Under the Sea-
As fools with desires
Grasp for straws
With outstretched hands,
They'll do anything for something that resembles love.
They are another heart under the sea.
They'll face the bitter morning sun
With uncertainty
Into the ruinous light
That reveals their scars of yesterday.
You'll see it in their expression
As laugh lines that fade to oblivion;
Just scowls remain with certainty:
Another heart under the sea.
They'll reach and hope
For one last glimpse,
Before the flood overtakes them,
Before they rage with old age.
They'll be a bitter tale of love lost,
That will angst inside their beating heart;
For certain they will be one of a
Thousand hearts under that sea.
They will wave pick me, pick me!
But will sink under the gravity of nothing
From wanting and needing air;
Sucked into a black hole,
Wanting to breath for love.
They'll dream yesterdays dreams
Weeping bitter in bed by the dead moon;
Revealing its glow of gloom
On their heavy breathing to nowhere,
Just another breath under the sea.
Like the cloud shrouded sun that barely shines
Over their growling tender feelings,
They'll reach silently for the sky,
For anything, for love,
To bask warmth upon their soul.
They feel dead
And alone,
Waiting with certainty,
Grasping at empty promises,
Waiting on loves delivered charms.
But nothing is there!
Just bitterness and an empty stare;
As another wave knocks them under the sea,
Another lost soul in the sea of
Empty dreams.

-The Rhyme By The Sea-
The air moved and rolled against the sea mist
Smacking against the sun,
She let out her rainbows
One by one,
The blue, violets, greens, purples,
Yellows, high flying, sprinkling on the teeming waters,
The air sucking her in
Kissing her out again;
Magnificent show, to and fro, undersea:
Her waves capture us,
Knocking us down
In the splattering beach sun.
Arms flapping, legs dancing,
Torso's rolling...
Weeeeeeeeeeee
~
-Not To Be-
Did they have to lock you
In the room,
By the cold freezer
So soon?
The day before I saw you
Cheeks so blush,
Immersed in the life
Of June.
But now they carry you out
Twelve hands at a time,
And let you down
By the beautiful carnations.
The prayer defies the chirps,
The birds are out to play,
Heads looking everywhere
For you not found.
~
-The Raven In Our Minds-
An Idea,
A thought.
An ever glimpsing picture of the raven
That flies through our minds,
Ever finding new methods to expose
The wilderness of our temperament,
The future of man.
We glimpse,
We wonder
Where he'll fly next.
~
-Heart Of Clay-
You know how people like to pin you into a category,
They call you a dork here, a slut there
A dreamer over there.
You know how they have their say,
He's that way, she's child's play.
Ahh, the absurdity!
When one of you clowns
Do your Picasso mold of me,
When one of you brilliant Einstein's
Make a mold clay out of me.
I won't mind the funny nose,
The chipped tooth,
Or having rendered my lifeless eyes
A freakish shade of gray.
No I won't mind that at all.
Nor the funny caricature you'll make of me.
No I too will say that's grand ole brilliant.
But when it comes to shaping my heart
Make it as you will, a work of art.
Mold it from a shapeless dough,
Cut it in two, with an arrows quiver passing through.
Laughing as you do,
Because nothing truer would represent me.
~
-A Deafening Silence-
Waiting for things to happen
Been waiting an eternity,
The night brought forth shadows
To match those upon me.
The day brought forth deception
A glorious swirl,
An Angel with a smile
Satin in disguise.
Trying to make it happen
Been down a long time,
Ready to break out
A shell of steel.
The darkness overcame the light
I fumbled to keep my balance,
It was then an arch appeared in the sky
A doctrine of deception.
I was misled from the original purpose
To love one another,
Instead I was led astray
Into signs and lying wonders.
To the Christ I pray!
To the Christ I say...
Nothing but a deafening silence.
