“How long have you been killing?”
“As long as I can remember.”
“And how long is that?”
“Since I was eleven.”
I noticed his eyes curl up in their faint half-smile, as if daring me to argue with him. I had more important things to talk about.
“Do you remember every girl?”
“Yes.”
“Johanna from Brunswick?”
“Yes.”
“Randi from New York?”
“Yes.”
“Cindy from Riverfield?”
His mouth gave a slight twitch.
“Yes.”
There it was! Unnoticeable except to the trained eye, there was the sign that I was looking for.
“Rachel from-“
“Is there a purpose to this?” he snarled, spit smacking between his lips.
He was angry. To angry. I couldn’t help myself- I began to feel a small bubble of hope within my chest. Perhaps Cindy Roberts was still alive.

Short, but I hope sweet. Be brutal.

As an opening to a story this would really draw me in, I hope you will write more soon.

One small criticism I think you lost an o ...too angry ?

It's a very promising start. Your readers are also hoping Cindy is still alive so you've done a great job of attracting our attention. It's now up to you to continue the story.
