Ouch!

What?

I just walked into a ladder

Why?

Because it was there

Which one?

What do you mean?

Well there's 14 of them to choose from

14!

Yep

Why so many ladders?

They're the landlord's

Why so many?

I guess he likes to try new approaches

To what?

Climbing onto things

Oh. Climbing onto what things?

Roofs mostly. Roofs particularly

Roofs?

Well, I was being generous with the plural

You mean roof? Singular?

Roof is correct. Singular is also correct

Oh - I give up - who's roof?

My roof - the roof I'm renting - I mean-...

Go on

I guess I'm not renting the roof

Not renting the roof?

The roof is his - he lives there

Your landlord lives on the roof?

From 6 am to 6 pm

What does he do there?

Not much - walks around and climbs over

Unusual - and he does this all day?

Yeah

Does it leak?

No

Did it ever?

Not since I've been here - though-...

What?

I think if it did I could tell him to fix it

Because he'd already be on it?

As well

As well as what

As well as it making some sort of sense

I agree that as it is, it doesn't

None that I can see

Can't you report him?

To who?

To the authorities

I think they've got bigger fish to fry

Much bigger

Listen, can we talk about something else?

This made me chuckle. I thought for sure there would be 13 ladders... now where did that extra one come from?

I have noticed your landlord and your digs are a recurring theme.

You write in a way that is bizarre without seeming as though it is trying to be bizzare. It shouldnt be this entertaining. But it is.

Thankyou every - I'm not sure about the fourteenth - I'm not sure where any of them came from, just appearing over time - maybe he turns into a ladder at night? It wouldn't surprise me if he did

Thankyou JB - my landlord is bizarre, but if you met him you wouldn't find him entertaining - you'd run a mile when you realise he eludes all attempts to be figured out. It drives me nuts just trying to keep up with the antics of the past month, trying to think what will be next boggles the mind
