Hi everyone,
I hope you don't mind me popping in to pick some brains, but I was wondering if anyone could help me out with a bit of a specific request?
(If I am in the wrong place, please do say!)
I'm writing a piece on late-Victorian/Edwardian ghost stories, and I would really like to find British stories that center around foreign objects, especially things being kept in a museum or linked with a museum in some way. So far, the only thing I've really found has been M.R. James's 'The Mezzotint' (not an 'exotic' object, I know, but it has a museum link).
If anyone can think of any supernatural stories from around 1880-1910-ish with this theme, I would be very, very grateful.
Again, my apologies for just jumping in and asking for help, and also for the request being so specific!
